About
Suzanne obtained a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University (Kingston, ON). She is a licensed occupational therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) and is a member of the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists (SAOT). She has worked with a wide range of populations from diverse backgrounds in both public and private practice. Previous experience includes long term care, assisted living, adults involved in motor vehicle accidents and chronic disease management. She has worked with individuals with spinal cord injuries, dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and severe mental illness.
Suzanne is certified in providing Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy for individuals with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her areasof practice include home equipment assessments, mobility assessments, ergonomic assessments, behavioural activation, and PE therapy for persons with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Suzanne is passionate about supporting clients to reach their goals and was drawn to the holistic and creative aspects of occupational therapy. Prior to joining the occupational therapy profession, Suzanne worked for several years in Ottawa in federal public policy and received a Master’s in International Affairs from Carleton University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, and going on adventures with her French Bulldogs.
