About
Katie completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is a licensed occupational therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Katie is experienced in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy, Neurorehabilitation/Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Informed Care, and Functional Capacity Evaluations. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan who have a range of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, adjustment disorder, PTSD, concussion, fibromyalgia, and various musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Katie enjoys working with people who live with chronic pain and mental illness, and she is passionate about helping them find ways to manage their symptoms and resume previously enjoyed activities, or explore new hobbies and work, post-injury, trauma, or diagnosis.
In her time off, Katie enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two cats. She also loves her nature walks/hikes, yoga, reading, and travelling.
