Kaela completed a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is a licensed occupational therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She is certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with experience in other practice areas including ergonomic worksite and home management assessments. She values a collaborative, holistic approach to helping clients meet their functional goals and ensures each person receives personalized care tailored to their needs.
Beyond the clinical setting, Kaela is passionate about continuous learning and professional development, with a commitment to attain additional training in therapeutic approaches for emotional regulation and cognitive rehabilitation.
Prior to her work as an occupational therapist, Kaela worked in positions including physical fitness across the lifespan and working alongside individuals with intellectual disabilities in community endeavours. In her free time, Kaela enjoys weightlifting, traveling, photography, and various outdoor activities with her friends and dog.
