Kayla completed her Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation & Disability Studies at the University of Calgary and her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta. She is a licensed occupational therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). Kayla has had the opportunity to work in various areas including private pediatrics, home & community care, geriatrics and mental health. She values using a client-centered approach to help clients move through their recovery process. Kayla has done training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) and Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). Areas of practice include ergonomic and work function assessments, vocational rehabilitation for persons with persistent mental health diagnoses and home equipment/personal care allowance assessments. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys reading, teaching dance, working out, walking her dogs and spending time with friends and family.
